This is my third Kindle cover and third light for my Kindle. I like this the best as it combines the light with the cover so I can take everything with me at once, but this cover is almost two times the bulk of other covers. The light is very bright. It can swivel in different directions. I can see the screen very clearly, and it’s easy to change the batteries in this device. This light does not have two light settings like the other lights have, but I don’t mind that. The note pad is nice to have, and I’ve used it several times already to jot down notes, but I would prefer that the makers come up with a second version of this cover that’s a little less bulky. The straps are very tight which is good because it holds the kindle securely. It’s bad in that it’s hard to get the Kindle into the straps at first because they are so tight, but with a little effort, the Kindle goes into the cover nicely. If you do not use a light with the Kindle, I would not get this cover because of the bulk, but if you don’t want to hunt all over the place for your light, it’s nice to have a product like this where you can have your Kindle and light all together in one place.

I am very pleased that I went with this cover over the other leather options even though it was a little bit more expensive. It’s a very nice looking cover, my Kindle fits very securely in the elastic holders, and I love the built in light (this was one of the key factors that influenced me to pick this cover). It came with a notepad if you are the note-taking type. I will say that the elastic sleeve for the pen is too small to fit even a Bic – waaaay too tight. But that doesn’t affect my usability personally so I didn’t reflect it in my review. But there are plenty of work arounds for something like that and to me this is still the best option out there.

I previously commented on this item – not very good due to lack of communication BUT to make a long story short I love my cover, it’s light is so convenient – customer response is OUTSTANDING I would Highly recommend this product.

In the heady buy frame of mind when I decided to buy my Kindle, I knew I needed a cover, and I thought I needed an additional light. (A Kindle owning friend told me that she wished the Kindle was back lit) So, I was pretty happy when I found this combination cover and light from Periscope. It is very nice; the leather seems durable and the telescoping light is downright clever. However, I do not travel with my Kindle. I live alone, and the cat doesn’t care how late the lights are on. This is a very good product from a reliable vendor, but the plain cover with the locks on the side meets my needs better.

I really enjoy this product. I like the protection it gives my Kindle screen. Also, the light is also as bright and as easy to use as the often touted Mighty Bright Flex Light (also have this one). The added notepad has come in handy as well.

Only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the corner holders. I find that sometimes my Kindle comes out of the corners, and wish they were slightly more secure.

    Would definately recommend this product.
