The aesthetic of the case is very much like that of the Kindle itself; clean, simple lines with a design of classic, understated elegance. If you’re looking for a more rigid body design, a case that integrates into the reading functionality, doesn’t block (or protect) any port and with lots of character, then the OCTO Vintage Leather Book Cover for Amazon Kindle 2 may be a better choice for you.

This slip cover is great for carrying your Kindle in bags/brief cases without adding bulk or weight. You can’t charge it while it’s in the cover (but you can plug in headphones) and this cover in no way incorporates into the reading experience; you take it off completely and set it aside to read the device. It provides fairly good impact resistance and excellent scratch protection to your Kindle. It’s a got a fairly rigid body design but not such that external keyboard press-throughs are impossible (which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether you want to be able to press the spacebar with the device in the case, to pause the music/text-to-speech…because you can; sometimes I do this on purpose, sometimes it’s an accident).

I love my kindle, except the fact that I’ve almost taken out fellow passengers on flights with an elbow trying to get my kindle out of this case. It’s way too tight – I thought that it would eventually break in, but alas 6 months later and I still struggle a ton.

If you’re one of those people that buy shoes that are too small, don’t mind getting blisters, and hating every moment in life and think that your kindle should have the same horrible experience, but this. Otherwise – pick something else.

Perfect case for your Kindle. Had mine for 6 months and use it daily. Protects my Kindle. If you have read all the other reviews, why haven’t you pushed the button and purchased one? You know you want to.

For most us, purchasing a Kindle was to save space. Thus, why increase the bulk with a holder that makes the thing as big as a day planner? This thing is so slim the Kindle’s dimensions are almost unchanged, making it perfect for slipping in the side pocket of your bag or computer case. It’s pretty hard, which is good. You want protection, not some soft Corinthian leather that doesn’t protect. When you want to read, just pull it out and stick the slip cover away. Someone said you have to tug to get it out. Of course! Would you want to be able to turn this upside down and have your expensive Kindle slip out? This is a great product for those who don’t need something that stands up on its own or has pockets and tablets inside.

This case is slim, protective, and a great value. Doesn’t utilize the hinge holes, which will damage your kindle. I’ve done a lot of traveling with this thing and haven’t had any problems.

I’ve tried the official amazon hinge case (cracked my kindle), the m-edge platform jacket (too big and bulky), and a few others. This is the best.
